Long Description:
The twin engine AT-18 bombers were reconfigured as flying classrooms to give students actual flight training before graduation. A combination of cloudy skies and airplanes painted gray was what was believed to be the reasons for the crash. Witnesses saw a plane come out of a cloud bank at high speed and clip the tail of a 2nd plane. One plane crashed into a student housing killing all 7 people in the plane and 3 people in the building. The other plane managed to make it East of Renner where everyone parachuted off the plane safely before that plane crashed.
