Long Description:
Small Gothic castle was founded before 1307. Memorial of the stay of Fr. Jan Hus, Czech priest, Charles University former chancellor, professor of theology and ecclesiastic reformer, continuator of John Wycliffe, who found the protectors and asylum here in the years 1412–1414 after his forced leaving from Prague. He studied, wrote his tretises and namely preached here for the wide surrounding to the plenty of his admirers.
After a great fire in 1438 the castle had been wasted and served as a source of the building materials.
