Quick Description: An ornately carved letterbox, in the form of a miniature Maori meeting house, collects the mail on Stanley Street, Dannevirke. The carvings are traditional Maori design and colour using paua shell inset into the wood.

Long Description:
The meeting house, or whare runanga in Maori, letterbox is situated on Stanley Street, the main highway through Dannevirke at the southern end of the town.
Date of visit: 9/27/2010
