Long Description:
Sugarloaf is one of the lower Sooke Hills but the summit can provide great views of the area. We came up the flagged trail that loops around the east and north end and climbs steeply up the west facing slope. We came out at the top of the climbers bluff and then found the summit cairn. About 10 m south of the summit cairn is the BC Legal Survey benchmark dated 1958 and stamped with the code number 2276.
As you can see from the pictures the weather was wet and the views obscured by low clouds. It was good day for an exploration in the Sooke Hills. KMZ trail log is available on request.
