This tree is dedicated to a young man who was killed by a "reckless driver".
The plaque reads
"In Loving Memory of
Ben Bellamy
1981 - 1998
A tear rolled down my cheek as I drove past the intersection which I crossed on my way to school each day. The street, the houses, even the paint on the road, nothing is the same.
From a short story written by Ben in his grade 11 English class, Highland School, a few weeks prior to his tragic death at the hands of a reckless driver, 21 February 1998, Noel and Pritchard intersection.
