Quick Description: This bluestone building was built in 1877 as the Port Chalmers Post Office. Since 1984 it has been operating as the Port Chalmers Regional Maritime Museum with some stunning artefacts of local and Antarctic maritime history.

Long Description:
Located right beside the busy Port Chalmers port, this post office building has been located in the former business heart of the community. Today most of the banks have left the community and the post office has been shifted into modern outlet counter in a store, however this building is now being used as a museum with some stunning artefacts of local and Antarctic maritime history.
