Long Description:
This Bench Mark is in Montgomery County, Indiana, approximately 2.4 miles south of Alamo. It is located in the west end of the north abutment of Deer's Mill Covered Bridge (closed to motor traffic), adjacent to SR 234 where it crosses Sugar Creek. The marker is just inside the bridge about five feet from the north entrance, set in the stone abutment on the west side. It is readily visible and in good condition.
