Long Description:
The Brewerton Christian Church, also known at the Stone Church, was built with river rocks, hence the nickname of "Stone Church". The First Church of Disciples of Brewerton was organized in 1853, then in 1849 they joined with other religous groups and formed the "Union Church".
After two years the members decided to build a new church where they
could worship as they chose. The original structure was destroyed by fire in 1920 and the present building was then completed in 1923.
