Long Description:
This benchmark is sort of hidden behind a water tank for the Jackson East Taylor Water Authority. You can access this area by turning onto Mile Hill Rd. from route 22. There is a flashing yellow traffic light at the intersection. Once you turn south onto Mile Hill Rd. you can't miss the water tank on your left. There is a place for one car to park in front of the gate there. Walk up the hill go around the right side of the fence. Just outside the fenced in area is the benchmark. It will be on the far left side of the fenced in area (NE side of the fench).

DESCRIBED BY US GEOLOGICAL SURVEY 1901 ON A CLEARED KNOB IN CENTRAL PART OF JACKSON TOWNSHIP, 10 MI BY RD. WESTWARD FROM EBENSBURG, 900 FT S. OF CHICORY HILL SCHOOLHOUSE. STATION MARK, A MARBLE POST 34 BY 6 BY 6 IN., SET 32 IN. IN GROUND, IN CENTER OF TOP OF WHICH IS COUNTERSUNK AND CEMENTED A STANDARD TRIANGULATION DISK.
