Long Description:
The Great Buffalo Road travels through southeastern Kentucky and heads north into Ohio. Kentucky has many salt licks along the route of the nearby Licking River, which can be seen to the left of center on the mural. The mural depicts the river crossing nearby. The Ohio had a different route before the last glacier, and the Licking River previously flowed north to Hamilton, OH, towards the Miami River.

This mural is part of a group of floodwall murals that were painted by Robert Dafford.
