Long Description:
DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1973 (JRS) THE POINT INTERSECTED WAS THE REVOLVING LIGHT ATOP THE SALT LAKE COUNTY AIRPORT NO. 2, BEACON THAT IS LOCATED ABOUT 6 MILES NORTHEAST OF COPPERTON, 3 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF KEARNS, 2 MILES WEST OF WEST JORDAN AND ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE LANDING STRIP OF THE AIRPORT. IT IS AT THE TOP OF A FOUR LEGGED STEEL STRUCTURE THAT IS PAINTED IN ALTERNATE BANDS OF RED AND WHITE AND IS ABOUT 120 FEET IN HEIGHT.
