I almost missed this one.
I thought it had already been Waymarked.
In 1931 The US Highway 66 Association held its annual convention here. More than 20,000 people attended.
A pretty sizable crowd for those days.
Elk City is also the site of the Old Town Museum.
It has also expanded to include a Route 66 National Museum.
Another great neon along Old Rt. 66.
I wish we would have got there during the nigh time.
