Veteran cemeteries are where many military service members are laid to rest. These can be cemeteries managed by Veteran Affairs, states and local governments. This category is comprised of veteran cemeteries for any country and government in the world. They are sometimes called National Cemeteries, Field's of Honor, etc.

In order for a military cemetery to qualify, the cemetery area of land must be solely designated as a place for people who are given military veteran status by their government. This could be an entire cemetery designated as a military cemetery, or a regular cemetery which has a reserved section only for military members. In the case of the later, only waymark the designated military portion of the cemetery. Individual veteran grave sites do not qualify for this category.
