The Wexford Lodge, also known as the Shirley House, was used by the Union Army as a smallpox hospital during the Civil War. It is located in what is today called the Vicksburg National Military Park in Vicksburg, Mississippi, USA.

Yet another public building on High Street which turned hospital during July 1, 1863. The Battle of Gettysburg pushed many building into service during that horrible three day blood bath. A beautiful interpretive out front tells the tale.
