The requirements for this category are simple:
Locate a Blue Star Memorial Marker.

TWO PHOTOS ARE REQUIRED. No GPS in shot and high quality please. (No low-res camera phones.) Take a close-up of the marker itself - like you see above.
Then take a second photo of the marker in its setting, i.e. a wide shot showing the surroundings or landscaping, taken about 20 to 30 feet from the marker, like you see below:

Clear, daytime photos only. We need to be able to clearly see the surroundings and the marker. If it's dark or raining heavily, you need to return when a quality photo can be taken.
Please note that Blue Star Markers you submit must be the special metal markers, not regular highway signs that state a highway is a "Blue Star Memorial Highway."
Take an accurate GPS reading at the marker.
Note the name of the garden club or clubs and all other organizations that placed the marker.
Please use the following format for the name of the marker: "Name of Highway or Location, City, State".
For example: "Freedom Memorial Park, Fayetteville, NC" or "Old U.S. Highway 99, Burbank, CA". So that waymarks may be searched by others, only waymarks that conform to this naming convention will be accepted.
Thanks for your submission.
