This "Category" endeavours you to find and photograph "Unique- Historic or Interesting" doors and portals" that are found in every country in the world.
Expanded Description:
You may "Waymark" any doorway with a door or a door separately, as stipulated below, of above average interest that the viewers might find interesting enough to stop and admire.

The requirements for submitting a "Waymark" are:

  • 1. Title with name of building/structure & city/town.

  • 2. A large close-up photo of the door or portal. These may also be displayed on your "Waymark" page.

  • 3. A general area photo of the building/structure where this "Unique Door" is located.

  • You may post additional photos of the area or close-ups of designs and if you wish you may include yourself in the photo too.

  • Instructions for Posting a Doorways of the World Waymark:
  • 1. - Title with name of building/structure & city/town.
  • 2. - A large close-up photo
  • of the door or portal may be displayed on the "Waymark" page.
  • 3. - A general area photo of the building/structure where this "Unique Door" is located.

    Slocum House originally stood at 404 or 414 W. 5th. It became the center of early Vancouver society. The house was moved in 1966 to the southwest corner of Esther Short Park. A fan light sits above large, double front doors with stain glass windows.
