Expanded Description:

Definition of a World Heritage site by UNESCO:
"Cultural heritage" is a monument, group of buildings or site of historical, aesthetic, archaeological, scientific, ethnological or anthropological value. "Natural heritage" designates outstanding physical, biological, and geological features; habitats of threatened plants or animal species and areas of value on scientific or aesthetic grounds or from the point of view of conservation.

The waymark must be found on UNESCO World Heritage list
Sites on proposal or tentative lists are not accepted.

Instructions for Posting a World Heritage Sites Waymark:

Upload a photo showing you and the target you visited, don't forget to enter the WGS-coordinates of that particular place. Include your GPSr and/or a World Heritage sign or yourself in a photo if possible.
Also required the UNESCO WH Reference number found at the WH web page
(eg. Ref: 404 is for Acropolis, Athens).

In case of multiple locations please post the full serial ID number.
Example: Struve Geodetic Arc has a reference number 1187 but the different locations spread so far from each others that you may publish a new waymark on each location.

etc.
