Description:: A listing of libraries from around the world!

Expanded Description:

All libraries public and private. Any school libraries must be post-secondary or graduate school or higher. Public school and secondary (aka high school) will not be accepted. A list of libraries can be found at: Public Libraries and World Libraries but these are not the only acceptable submissions.

Instructions for Posting a Libraries Waymark:

Please post an image of the library building that includes the name of the library or similar signage, and make it the default image. If you cannot capture both aspects in one image then you may post an image of the library as the default image, but you must also provide an image of the library name on the building or sign at the site, in the gallery for the listing.

Please keep your GPS out of the photo, we don't want to see it!

Required Info - You will need to specify if the library has Internet access.

Optional Info - If you are able to provide the year the library was opened, that would be appreciated as well. Please provide the hours of operation, or a link to the library's website that provides this information.

Naming your Waymark Listing: You may name your Waymark Listing anything you like within reason but it should provide some indication of the nature of the site. Consider adding a descriptive tag at the beginning of the name to further assist Waymarking participants to locate the Waymark.

As a guideline, the following is a suggested naming scheme for listings in this category: Library - The Wikipedia Center for Advanced Literature

While you are free to create your own Waymark Listing name, using the suggested style may help people when they visit multiple Waymark locations.

As a suggestion for your visit log, please make every effort to supply a brief-to-detailed note about your experience at the Waymark. If possible also include an image that was taken when you visited the Waymark. Images can be of yourself, a personal Waymarking signature item or just one of general interest that would be of value to others. Sharing your experience helps promote Waymarking and provides a dynamic history of your adventures.
