Your task, if you choose to accept it, is to find a public domain photo (or one you have personally taken or own), and take as close to an identical photo at the same location where the original photo was taken and in the same direction. The original photo should at least be 50 years old or older, but if the photo has uniquely changed over time an earlier photo is acceptable.
Here's an example of a now and then photo of Fremont in Seattle.
1) Naming Your Waymark
A. Name your waymark using the current location or building name.
B. Include the city/town or county/province where the bridge is found.
Examples: Brewster County Courthouse - Alpine, TX Brunner Building - Jacksonville, OR
2) 2 Photos - You will need to provide both a before and after picture upload to the web site in order for your waymark to be listed. If you don't know the exact year the photo was taken the approximate date is acceptable in the decade such as 1950. Just post a note in your description so others know.
Please make your default photo the "Then" photo. A collage of the Then and Now" photos showing them side by side is also acceptable. Also please provide information on the direction and what the photo is taking a picture of in the short description. Thanks!
