Tearooms or tea houses are businesses primarily focused on serving tea. Many of them also offer other drinks like herbal teas, chai or maté, and light meals. Check the Teahouse Wikipedia entry or Tearoom (UK & US) Wikipedia entry for different styles of tearooms in different parts of world.
Please don't post cafes, coffee shops, or tea vendors where you cannot drink tea on the premises. If the location sells both tea and coffee, tea should be a significant portion of the business (A good sign is if they carry loose leaf tea.) Both independent tearooms and franchises of larger tearooms are OK.
Although outdoor structures built for Japanese tea ceremonies are also called teahouses, they don't qualify as a Tearoom for this category as they are not usually businesses. You might want to check Japanese Gardens category instead. Also Bubble Tea shops should be waymarked under Bubble Tea aka Boba.
In some neighborhoods there can be a tearoom at every corner. Use your own judgment when posting - if tearooms are too common in your area, try to select only the exceptional ones.
