Ancien lycée de jeunes filles, réalisé par Georges Lasseron en 1897,le musée d'Agesci réunit aujourd'hui trois musées en un : Beaux-Arts (sculpture, peinture, arts décoratifs, orfèvrerie, lutherie...), Histoire Naturelle (géologie régionale, ornithologie...), conservatoire de l'éducation (objets et mobiliers scolaires, appareils scientifiques, cartes, ouvrages et films scolaires… retraçant un siècle et demi d'enseignement et de sciences).



Collection d’Histoire Naturelle

Les points essentiels de la collection portent sur :

- l’ornithologie régionale formée autour des collections Ingrand et Guimard
- la Paléontologie, fouilles des grottes de Loubeau à Melle
- Fossiles du carbonifère (mines de Saint-Laurs)
- l’importante section d’ostéologie, squelettes de mammifères, oiseaux, poissons 90 espèces de crabes, auxquels il faut ajouter des
squelettes, crânes, poissons naturalisés, reptiles et amphibiens, mammifères régionaux ou exotiques



Former high school girls, directed by Georges Lasseron in 1897, the museum Agesci meets three museums in one day: Fine Arts (sculpture, painting, decorative arts, jewelry, violin ...) Natural History (Geology regional, ornithology ...) conservatory of education (school furniture and objects, scientific instruments, maps, books and school movies ... retracing a century and a half of education and science).


Natural History Collection

The highlights of the collection include:

- Regional ornithology formed around Ingrand Guimard and collections
- Palaeontology, excavated caves Loubeau in Melle
- Fossils Carboniferous (mine Saint-Laurs)
- The important osteology section mammalian skeletons, birds, fish, 90 species of crabs, which must be added the
skeletons, skulls, stuffed fish, reptiles and amphibians, mammals and exotic regional

Tarif individuel gratuité pour les moins de 25 ans entrée individuelle - pour le musée : 3.50 euros entrée individuelle pour groupes de 6 personnes minimum - pour le musée : 2.50 euros

Musée Bernard d’Agesci – fermé le lundi - 10h – 17h (16 sept. – 30 avril) - 10h – 18h (1er mai – 15 sept.)
