Long Description:
This park hosts several annual events, such as an Easter Egg Hunt and Canada Day Festivities, as well as various summer events, such as pancake breakfasts.

The most popular location in the park on Saturday evening through the summer is the bandstand, which hosts "Music in the Park" through July and August. A schedule for 2015 hasn't been posted as yet, but the concert times in the past were from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m every Saturday. The bandstand, of course, was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Merritt. On a low concrete foundation, it has a well protected stage and a large cantilevered roof overhanging the front of the stage.

The park has the only water park in town. Beside the water park is a children's playground and the park is also home to a small rose garden dedicated to Princess Di.

If you want to take the kids out for some fun or just sit on a warm summers evening and listen to the music then Rotary Park is the place to be. Rotary Park has a water park, play ground equipment, band shell, and plenty of room to play. Annual events like Canada Day and Easter are held in the park along with pancake breakfasts and Saturday evenings Music in the Park.
