Long Description:
There was a train wreck near this station in 1901. The station was moved by truck from it's original position to the library parking lot and now serves as the town museum. It was built in 1881 by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad (DL&W). It is one of the few surviving stations of the pagoda style. It was located south of the tracks near the Rounds Coal Company building. Streamlined passenger service was on the Pheobe Snow line which operated from 1949 to 1959 from Hoboken, New Jersey to Buffalo, New York. The building was used by a lumber company for storage. It was auctioned in 1971 and bought by the town of Vestal.
