Popis druhu:
Listy má hluboce 5–7dílné, 7–15 cm dlouhé a 6–14 cm široké.

Ekologie: Rychle rostoucí krátkoveká drevina, odolná vuci mrazu, emisím, prachu a suchu, snáší polostín.

Description of the type:
Tree 20-30 (40) m tall, similar to maple milk (Acer platanoides), with rozkladitou crown and bark, which is smooth in youth and in old age is peeling off in strips and is gray to brownish gray. The trunk is short, shoots initially green, later reddish brown.
The leaves have deeply 5-7dílné, 7-15 cm long and 6-14 cm wide. The lobes are irregularly roughly 2 × serrated. The leaves are silvery white on the reverse side, then turn yellow in the fall.

Ecology: The rapidly growing short-lived tree species, resistant to frost, emissions, dust and drought, tolerates shade.

Extension: It comes from the central part of North America, imported into Europe for the first time in 1725, in the Czech Republic 1835 (Prague - The Royal Game Park).

Meaning: We are planted in parks as an ornamental tree. Wood is less quality than domestic maple.

Note to this individual: Brno memorable tree. At your age it is quite healthy and vigorous tree that would be better served if it had more space around them. Only then could show in all its glory. Loosing the surrounding vegetation (this is a euphemism for cutting garden) would be desirable.
