Long Description:
This speeder was manufactured by Fairmont Railway Motors Ltd. in Toronto ON. It is belt driven and has a single cylinder, water cooled engine of approx 6-8 hp. The name plate indicates that this speeder is a Class M - Series 19 - Group H model. All the other railway equipment on display here is from Canadian Pacific, though the railway here was a Canadian National railway for the vast majority of its life. Also, this speeder is painted in the CPR's familiar yellow, so we'll assume it worked for the CPR. It is assumed that Fairmont Railway Motors Ltd. of Toronto, ON is a Canadian subsidiary of Fairmont Railway Motors Inc., of Fairmont, Minnesota.

The little village of Rowley is almost deserted today, but much of it has undergone restoration, particularly the railway station and the three remaining grain elevators. Scattered about near the station and the elevators are several pieces or railroad rolling stock and several agricultural implements and an old McCormick Deering tractor.
