Long Description:
The swimming hole is named after the many wombats that live on the surrounding flood plain of the Shoalhaven River. The hole gradually deepens from the banks making it ideal for all ages. A tree has a rope swing. The hole is fringed by cliffs, tall gums & when it has rained the creek flows over a waterfall into the hole. There is plenty of room to camp but you must be self sufficient.

Access is off Yalwal Rd via Flatrock Creek Road. Turn right onto a gravel track just before the Nowra Waste Depot. Take the right fork, negotiate the steep rocky section of about 200 metres then it is a short drive to the hole.
