Long Description:
According to FindAGrave, this small cemetery, which has no sign, had 39 interments at the time of this waymark posting. Apart from some undated graves, the earliest recorded was from 1863, and the latest was from 1951. Some of the broken grave markers are just heaped together near a big tree. And yet it does not appear that the cemetery is abandoned. I visited it in later Autumn when there were still a lot of large weeds in uncut areas, but the cemetery turf was smooth, indicative of some mowing.

Since this is a tricky cemetery to get to, here is what you need to do.

  1. Take Missouri State Secondary Route O south through the small unincorporated town of Jenkins.
  2. When the O designation ends, turn right onto Farm-to-market Road (FR 1215) and head west. This road is narrow in some places, but it is paved right up to the point where you turn off.
  3. FR 1215 curves northward. When it curves back to the west it is now FR 2105, which you will continue on for less than a quarter mile.
  4. When you get to N36°46.750' W93°41.910' it is time to turn left / south. You will be turning between a large barn and an abandoned house. It looks like this:
    Turn here.
  5. You will need to open this gate and go through it, then close it behind you, since fresh cow pies in the field ahead indicate that there are sometimes cattle about (though I saw none, just the pies, when I was there):
    open this gate
  6. Drive ahead along the fence and tree line to your left for almost .2 miles.
  7. When the fence line takes a 90° turn left (east), you turn southeast a short ways, until you arrive at the cemetery, ahead to your left.
