Long Description:
Located on the east side of the on the east side of the State Capitol Building stands a tree with a cement monument and oxidized bronze plaque near its base that reads:

This Tree is dedicated to
MARIE KIENE DUNPHY

who in July 1945 on the site now
occupied by the Governor's Office
promised to marry Dean Dunphy,
who later served as the Secretary of
Business, Transportation and Housing
in the Wilson Administration.
May 1997

I did a quick online research and could not find out if Ms. Dunphy passed away before the tree dedication or is still alive today.

Location of the tree: State Capitol Grounds (east of building)
