Long Description:

Bronze marker near the west entrance to the Civic Center (city hall). It was placed during the city's centennial celebration in 2007. Roseville was a town the railroads built, serving as the northern California center for trains heading east over the Sierra's and north over the Siskiyou's. Today the railroads are still a major factor in Roseville, though computer associated businesses have come to the forefront in recent years.

This is one of two time capsules located a few feet apart close to the west entrance to the Roseville Civic Center. The marker reads:

City of Roseville
Centennial
Time Capsule
to be opened by the
City of Roseville
April 10, 2059

Capsule dedicated
April 18, 2009
at the City's
CENTENNIAL
CELEBRATION
