This is the so-called 'Thüringenschanze', former 'Hindenburgschanze', a abandoned ski jump located in Oberhof, Germany, Thüringen.

The original Hindenburgschanze was constructured from 1925 to 1927.
It was one of the tallest ski jumps in Germany for over 50 years.
After World War II it was rebuilt and renamed to 'Thüringenschanze'.

It was demolished in 1984. There is not too much left of the ski jump.

The record is 83.5 meters. It was done by Jens Weißflog (GER) in 1981.

The tower was made of wood. Its height was 28 meters.

There had been several competions over the decades. At the competitions in 1951 there had been 100,000 viewers.
