Hurstpierpoint is a village in West Sussex. It dates back to before the Norman Conquest, and was mentioned in the Domesday book. The name Hurst is from the Anglo Saxon, meaning Wood and pierpoint refers to the DE Pierpoint family who arrived with William the Conqueror. (From Wikipedia, )
