Long Description:
The church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção was founded by the Templars, and was completely restored in 1745. Here, the bright white houses have preserved their traditional ovens, and in the surrounding scrubland area, there are fruit trees, whose fruits are used to make the famous eau-de-vie aguardente de madronho of the Algarve.
