Long Description:
Krabi town is the capital of the Krabi province, ~700kms south of Bangkok. The small city contains a plethora of animal sculptures, each of which represent some aspect of the local culture or aspiration—usually in a fairly abstract manner.

At a major traffic intersection near the town centre is a set of traffic lights. There are four lights, one at the centre of each intersecting street, and atop each of these four traffic lights is a large and robust looking 'cave man' holding up the traffic lights. Certainly eye-catching.

I believe that the motivation for the cave men comes from 'cave men' fossils found in the Krabi province. There was no sign of a plaque. These fossils are housed in the Klong Thom museum, Krabi.
