Long Description:
Constructed in the year of 1937, Lorne Theatre took 9 months to complete. For several years the property was illuminated at the front by 3 large colored floodlights.

The 2 storey theatre is Art Deco in its style.

It has been placed on the Victorian Heritage Register due to its rarity for keeping a single screen format.

It is one of only a few operating theatres in a Victorian Seaside Resort.
