Long Description:
This star may have inspired the name of the pub, but the modern pub sign is of a vaudeville singer on a stage, an altogether different star.

Old pubs called the star are usually inspired by the Star of Bethlehem, in which case it would be appropriate to have the star high up on the building.

On the other hand it may just have been decoration.
Year of construction: 1897
