Long Description:
The butterfly garden stretches along a trail at the refuge. The garden is next to the environmental center. Some of the flora in the garden are sticky monkeyflower and mugwort.

A plaque reads: "The planting of this butterfly garden was made possible by the generous donation and installation of drip irrigation by Intel Corporations"

Another information sign reads: "Butterfly and Plants: an ancient relationship. Many butterfly caterpillars eat part of specificplant leaves and stems before they become adults. As adults, butterflies drink nectar and seek particular plants upon which they lay their eggs." Next to this a a match quiz for children to identify the butterfly species with the plant nectar they drink.
