Quick Description: Tall monument, located in the Courthouse grounds in Plaquemine. Appeared to be in good condition.

Long Description:
A Confederate soldier standing at parade rest. Proper right hand holds the barrel-end of a rifle and the butt of the rifle rests on ground by his proper right foot. Proper left hand holds an object. A Confederate flag is carved in relief on the front of the pedestal.

(On front of base, raised:) CSA/TO THE MEMORY/OF THE SOLDIERS/OF IBERVILLE,/1861-1865./CONFEDERATE/HEROES (On left side of base, raised:) THE PRINCIPLES FOR WHICH/THEY FOUGHT LIVE ETERNALLY. (On back of base, raised:) MANY OF WHOM GAVE ALL,/ALL OF WHOM GAVE MUCH. (On right side of base, raised:) ERECTED BY/PLAQUEMINE CHAPTER 739/U.D.C./1912.
