DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1949 (PLB) THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF NEW MIDDLETON, 2 MILES EAST OF NORTH LIMA, 2 MILES NORTH OF NEW SPRINGFIELD AND ON THE PROPERTY OF MR. LLOYD HEAVER. THE MARK IS ABOUT 100 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE RESIDENCE AND NEAR THE SOUTHERN EDGE OF A GARDEN PLOT. IT IS 25 FEET WEST OF AN APPLE TREE, 25 FEET EAST OF A PEAR TREE, 27 FEET NORTH OF THE DRIVEWAY AND 9.5 FEET NORTH OF A GRAPE ARBOR. IT IS ABOUT 16 INCHES BELOW THE SURFACE AND IS STAMPED ESTERLY 1949. THE MARK IS 11.2 FEET NORTH NORTHEAST OF A WHITE WITNESS POST. REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS 12 FEET SOUTH OF A DRIVEWAY LEADING TO A SMALL HOUSE, 2 FEET SOUTHEAST OF POWER POLE NO 214-65 AND 1 FOOT SOUTH OF AN EAST-WEST FENCELINE. THE MARK IS ABOUT 8 FEET BELOW STATION ELEVATION AND IS STAMPED ESTERLY NO 1 1949. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS 2 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF AN IMPLEMENT SHED AND ABOUT 4 FEET LOWER THAN THE STATION. THE MARK PROJECTS 4 INCHES ABOVE THE SURFACE AND IS STAMPED ESTERLY NO 1949. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN A 1 FOOT SQUARE CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE. IT IS 24 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE POLAND-NEW SPRINGFIELD ROAD, 9 FEET WEST OF A DRAINAGE DITCH, 4 FEET NORTHWEST OF A WHITE WITNESS POST AND 1-1/2 FEET NORTH OF A POWER POLE. THE MARK IS STAMPED ESTERLY 1949. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE ROUTES NO 165 AND NO 7 IN NORTH LIMA, GO EAST OF STATE ROUTE NO 165 FOR 1.2 MILE TO JUNCTION WITH STATE ROUTE NO 626, CONTINUE AHEAD ON NO 165 FOR 1.1 MILE TO A CROSSROAD THENCE TURN RIGHT, GOING 0.1 MILE TO THE HEAVER RESIDENCE AND THE MARK AS DESCRIBED. TO REACH THE AZIMUTH FROM THE HEAVER DRIVEWAY, GO SOUTH FOR 1/4 MILE TO THE MARK ON THE RIGHT.
